CLASSICAL GUITARIST DANIEL ROEST ("roost") has given countless solo and ensemble performances in nearly every kind of venue. His concerts are called “fun and entertaining,” (Portland Classic Guitar Concert Series) and moving, “listening to him, we get the feeling that we are with one of the great players of the guitar” (Tiempo Latino). He earned his B. Mus., Cum Laude and M.A., Music degrees at San Jose State University, played solo concerts aboard cruise ships to Alaska and developed an extraordinary career balancing teaching, performing and presenting other gifted guitarists. His talents include strongly connecting with an audience: "Thanks again—beautiful concert, and just the right amount, type, and variety of stories and commentary. Excellent engagement with the audience—everyone loved it. Perfect opener for future house concerts!" (Dave Hutchinson and Anara Guard, first-time Groupmuse hosts, Sacramento, Sept. 2017)
"Daniel Roest's concert was the highlight of the year...the audience was delighted and enthralled! His relaxed manner and conversational style with information between the pieces was wonderful!” (Susan Covington, Library Programs, Folsom Public Library.)
Daniel is Artistic Director of the Sacramento Guitar Society and has presented dozens of high level classical guitar concerts in recent years. With private teaching in his Folsom studio, performing and presenting other artists, he leads a full life in the arts. www.danielguitar.com
